ShedSpace

Factory Construction
3 Bed 2 Bath - 1203-1330 sq.ft.

Encompassing 1203 s.f., this long and lean floor plan provides substantial modern amenity in a modest footprint. Vertical wood siding and living areas directly connected to the outdoors through large sliding glass doors harken back to the leisurely living implicit in classic Mid-Century Modern homes. The vaulted ceiling embraces a great room, anchored at one end by an open galley kitchen and at the other by a built-in entertainment nook, perfect for an evening of entertaining or a quiet family gathering. The hallway with its box windows, does double duty as a gallery and display area. The two smaller bedrooms, with their built-in study areas, are perfect as children's bedrooms or guest accommodations. Operable clerestory windows let ample light into each room, while ensuring plenty of privacy. As an unpretentious 3 bedroom 2 bath home, this plan can easily provide gracious family living in town or out in the country.   -Mark Meyer, designSTUDIO

Variations and Customization

The model represented above is shown in one style available. In the case of the ShedSpace model, either end of the long space can be modified to that of the ones available in the DualSpace model. The kitchen peninsula can be configured in several ways, as well. We've chosen a dark wood mid-century style treatment for our stock offerings, but brightly colored panels and more standard types of siding are available, at varying costs.

As well, any of the plans can be flipped vertically or horizontally depending on your preference and/or site conditions. We offer a standard set of options for the interior but depending on your budget and personal style, these elements can be modified, or even left bare for you to complete on your own.

Unlike what you might find at some very large modular and manufactuing operations, we tackle each project as a custom home. There really isn't a perfect design for a house that fits everyone, so give us a call to talk about how we can accommodate you. Design fees for these changes are not accounted for when talking about our baseline pricing, but can be negotiated with the designer.
