CenterSpace

Factory Construction
3 Bed 2 Bath - 1524 sq.ft.

Feeling much larger than its 1524 s.f. would imply, this home focuses daily life on a connection with the outdoors. The living area, kitchen and master bedroom all flow into the courtyard through large sliding glass doors that beckon to be left open on temperate days and cool nights. Box windows punctuate the hallway and capture views of the courtyard, serving as display space for life's special mementos. The spa-like master bath finds protection in the only corner that turns its back to the courtyard, and allows for a cloistered retreat from the social hub of the house. At the front entry and in the courtyard, wood siding dominates, calling out places of social occasion. Elsewhere, simple board and batten siding marches the length of the walls, expressing the utility of their location. All in keeping with a desire for simplicity and an elegance of expression, this home offers affordable luxury for the discerning modernist.   -Mark Meyer, designSTUDIO

Variations and Customization

The model represented above is shown in one style available. In the case of the CenterSpace model, additional decking and/or shade structures can be built along the front of the house, and trace the living room wall exterior to lead back around into the courtyard. We've chosen a mid-century style treatment for our stock offerings with dark vertical wood siding, but brightly colored panels and more standard types of siding are available at varying costs.

As well, any of the plans can be flipped vertically or horizontally depending on your preference and/or site conditions. We've presented our standard set of options for the interior but depending on your budget and personal style, these elements can be modified, or even left bare for you to complete on your own.

Unlike what you might find at some very large modular and manufactuing operations, we tackle each project as a custom home. There really isn't a perfect design for a house that fits everyone, so give us a call to talk about how we can accommodate you. Design fees for these changes are not accounted for when talking about our baseline pricing, but can be negotiated with the designer.
